¡Tamaris Croacia: El Alojamiento de Invitados que Te Dejará Sin Aliento!

¡Tamaris Croacia: El Alojamiento de Invitados que Te Dejará Sin Aliento! - Una Crítica Cruda y Absolutamente Personal (Y con un Montón de Palabras "SEO-Friendly" para Google)

¡Ay, Dios mío! ¡Tamaris Croacia!

(¡Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!) ¡Aleluya!

¡Uf! "Massage" (Masajes), ¿alguien? "Body scrub" (Exfoliación corporal) y "Body wrap" (Envoltura corporal)… suena a lujo, ¿o no?

  • "Cleanliness and safety" (Limpieza y seguridad): ¡Importantísimo! ¡Uff!

  • "Dining, drinking, and snacking" (Comida, bebida y aperitivos): ¡A comer! "Restaurants" (Restaurantes), ¡bien! ¿"Vegetarian restaurant" (Restaurante vegetariano)?

"Air conditioning in public area" (Aire acondicionado en zonas comunes), ¡esencial! "Cash withdrawal" (Retiro de efectivo), "Invoice provided" (Factura facilitada). "Car park [free of charge]" (Parking gratuito), ¡un puntazo!

¡No sentí nada!

Guest Accomodation Tamaris Croatia

¡Ay, caramba! Here we go, the chaotic chronicle of my Croatian adventure, Guest Accommodation Tamaris style. Grab your sunscreen and your patience, because this itinerary's less "polished travel brochure" and more "drunken cousin narrating a family reunion."

Day 1: Arrival and the Adriatic's Embrace (or, How I Almost Drowned My Luggage in Delight)

  • 14:00: Arrive at Split Airport. The air already smells like salt, sunshine, and the promise of forgetting all my work deadlines. Actually finding the Guest Accommodation Tamaris was a minor odyssey. Let's just say Google Maps, my friend, sometimes leads to… scenic detours. I think I saw more goats than people.
  • 15:00: Check-in. The owner, a kind woman with eyes that have seen a century of sunsets (or maybe that was just sun-squint?), welcomed me with a smile and a shot of something fiery. I think it was Rakija. Immediately felt my anxieties melt away.
  • 16:00: Unpack and… stare. The view from my room is EPIC. The Adriatic Sea, shimmering like a thousand thousand sapphires. I nearly dropped my suitcase, overwhelmed. Okay, I ALMOST dropped my suitcase…into the sea. Literally. Took a moment for my heart to stop hammering against my ribs.
  • 17:00: First dip! The water is crystalline, even colder than I expected. But oh-so-refreshing! I spent a solid hour just bobbing around, feeling like a blissful, sun-soaked otter.
  • 19:00: Dinner at a tiny konoba (traditional tavern) recommended by the owner. Fresh seafood. Seriously, freshly caught and grilled. I swear the fish winked at me before I ate it. Wine flowed freely. May have overindulged just a smidge
  • 21:00: Stumbled back to the accommodation, humming a Croatian sea shanty. Successfully navigated the cobblestone streets without injuring myself. Victory! Watched the sunset from my balcony, a fiery explosion of orange and purple. My soul felt utterly, completely, content.

Day 2: Island Hopping and the Case of the Missing Sunscreen (and My Sanity)

  • 08:00: Wake up, feeling… slightly dehydrated. Note to self: less wine, more water.
  • 09:00: Breakfast. Simple, charming. Bread, cheese, olives, coffee. Perfecto.
  • 10:00: Ferry to Hvar. This is where things got… interesting. The ferry was packed with tourists. One child screamed for approximately 2 hours straight. I may have considered throwing myself overboard.
  • 11:30: Hvar Town. Beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. But also… teeming with people. Felt like a sardine in a designer handbag.
  • 12:00: The Great Sunscreen Debacle. Realized I'd left my sunscreen at the accommodation. Panic. Sunburn alert! Spent the next hour desperately searching for a shop selling the magic potion. Finally found some overpriced stuff that may, or may not, actually protect me.
  • 13:00: Lunch in Hvar. Another konoba. More seafood (shocking, I know). More wine. Starting to think I have a problem.
  • 14:00: Explore the fortress. Climbing the stairs was a leg-burning exercise (and let's be honest, I'm not exactly a marathon runner). But the view from the top…worth every single aching muscle. Breathtaking. Made me nearly cry. In a good way.
  • 16:00: Back to Tamaris. The ferry ride back was mercifully quieter. Slept most of the way.
  • 17:30: Operation Sunburn Prevention. Slathered myself in the expensive, questionable sunscreen. Praying to the sun gods.
  • 19:00: Dinner at Tamaris. The owner arranged for a BBQ with other guests. I, the social awkward human, was very nervous about this but eventually joined with a smile and started to open up with the other tourists. We ate grilled fish, and vegetables. It was all delicious!
  • 21:00: Watching the stars from the balcony. The silence… almost deafening after the day's hustle. Feeling incredibly grateful, even with the pending sunburn.

Day 3: Kayaking, Catastrophes and Coffee (Oh, the Coffee!)

  • 09:00: Breakfast, trying to remember the last day's events.
  • 10:00: Kayaking adventure! Rented kayaks. The sea was calm, the sun was gentle. I started to feel like a water goddess, effortlessly gliding through the waves.
  • 10:30: The Kayak Capsize. Remember how I was feeling like a water goddess? Yeah, well, that lasted approximately 30 minutes. I got cocky. Paddle-boarded into some rocks. Tipped over. Soaked me from head to toe, dumped my phone in the ocean (I quickly picked it up, It still worked, thank god!)
  • 11:30: Spent the next hour drying off and trying not to drown my phone. Very unflattering.
  • 12:30: Found a secret beach! Small, secluded, perfect. Sunbathing, reading, listening to the waves. Bliss.
  • 15:00: Coffee break. Croatian coffee is SERIOUS business. Strong, thick, and black. It hit the spot.
  • 16:00: Exploring the local village. The charming village with its little shops and cafes.
  • 18:00: Dinner. Ate at the accommodation. Cooked myself some pasta with vegetables. Feeling grateful for a peaceful evening.
  • 20:00: Reading on the balcony. Feeling mellow.

Day 4: Departure (with a heavy heart and a lighter wallet)

  • 08:00: Packing (the dreaded dance of packing). Trying to figure out how to fit all the souvenirs and the lingering scent of salt air.
  • 09:00: Final breakfast, with the owner and other guests. Said my goodbyes. Almost cried (again).
  • 10:00: Last swim! One last plunge into the turquoise water. Trying to soak it all in.
  • 11:00: Checked out. A final hug for the owner. I genuinely felt like I was leaving family.
  • 12:00: The bus journey back to Split. Thinking. Reflecting on my trip.
  • 14:00: Airport. Waiting for my flight. The overwhelming feeling of leaving this place.
  • 19:00: Home. Back to the real world. But I'll always have the memories. And the sunburn. And the taste of fresh seafood. And the warmth of the Croatian sun on my skin.

This trip… it was a mess. A glorious, beautiful, hilarious mess. And I wouldn't have had it any other way. ¡Hasta la vista, Croatia! You’ve stolen a piece of my heart. And I'll be back. Soon. Just maybe with a little more sunscreen and a slightly less reckless approach to kayaking.

(P.S. Pro-tip: Learn a few basic Croatian phrases. It makes everything approximately 10 times more charming. And always, ALWAYS, bring enough sunscreen.)

¡Genial, no?

(Yo, a veces, no).

5. ¿Y mascotas?
