¡Mykonos Princess: El Hotel de tus Sueños en Grecia te Espera!

¡Vale, vamos a ver!

  • Accesibilidad: ¡Importante!
  • Internet, internet, internet! Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!, dicen. ¡ALELUYA! Y Wi-Fi in public areas. ¡Bien!

  • ¡Anti-viral cleaning products! ¡Ah, el COVID! Bueno, al menos saben que existimos. Daily disinfection in common areas. Rooms sanitized between stays. Staff trained in safety protocol.
  • Doctor/nurse on call, First aid kit: Siempre tranquiliza saberlo.

  • ¡Restaurants! A la carte in restaurant, Breakfast [buffet], Poolside bar.
  • Snack bar, Coffee/tea in restaurant, Desserts in restaurant: ¡Por favor, que tengan una repostería decente!

  • Hot water linen and laundry washing: ¡Imprescindible!

  • Things to do, ways to relax: ¡Claro!
  • For the kids, Babysitting service, Family/child friendly, Kids facilities, Kids meal: Si viajas con niños.

¡Ay, Dios mío, a Mykonos! Here's my attempt at a "real" itinerary, spiced with all the chaos and beauty of a true traveler, and all the glorious imperfections that come with it. Buckle up, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Mykonos Princess Hotel - Mykonos: Un Viaje con un Toque de "Ayyyyyy!"

(Okay, first things first: I’m terrible at planning. My type-A friend, bless her heart, usually does this. But she’s busy saving the world, so… Aquí vamos!)

Day 1: Arrival and the "OMG-I'M-IN-GREECE!" Moment

  • 10:00 AM (ish): Arrive at Mykonos Airport. Forget that "organized" arrival look. I'm pretty sure I looked like a lost lemur with a suitcase. The wind tried to steal my sunglasses on the tarmac. Rude.
  • 10:45 AM: Taxi to the Mykonos Princess Hotel. Okay, the hotel… chef's kiss. Seriously stunning. Pictures don't do the view justice. You could practically swim in the Aegean from the balcony! (Note to self: resist urge to jump in fully clothed).
  • 11:30 AM: Check-in. Success! (Kind of. The receptionist, bless her, kept getting distracted by my terrible Spanish accent. "Sí, sí, señorita… oh, wait, you said that?").
  • 12:00 PM: Scramble to my room. Dropped my bag, immediately collapsed on the bed, and let out a primal scream of joy. This. Is. Heaven. (The hotel room even smelled good!).
  • 12:30 PM: First task: Find the pool. Obviously. Found it! Ordered a ridiculously overpriced but glorious Aperol Spritz. Sun, water, the distant sound of bouzouki music… yeah, I was officially on Cloud 9.
  • 2:00 PM: Lunch at the hotel restaurant. (This is where the "getting stuff done" plan went south. See, I had planned to explore the town immediately. But… the pool. And that Aperol Spritz… You understand, right?)
  • 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Pool time, reading, people-watching (a crucial travel skill). Failed spectacularly at the "reading" part because the view was too distracting!
  • 6:00 PM: Attempt at the famed Mykonos town. Got lost within five minutes. Seriously, it’s a glorious maze of white-washed alleyways. (Side note: I think every single store sells the exact same blue and white striped dress. I almost bought one. Twice.)
  • 7:30 PM: Dinner at "Nikos Taverna" in Mykonos Town (recommendation from the hotel - turns out everything really is as magical as the photos!. Fresh fish, grilled octopus, and a carafe of local wine. (Okay, two carafes). Seriously, the taste of the octopus was incredible. I might be coming back here every night.
  • 9:30 PM: Wandered around the town in a giddy haze. Found Little Venice. Watched the sunset. Nearly cried. This is definitely on my bucket list… It's as romantic as everyone says.
  • 11:00 PM: Collapse back in the hotel room after a slow, slightly-tipsy stroll back. I think the day was a success. Fell asleep with a smile.

Day 2: Beach Bliss and Cultural Confusion

  • 9:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel. (This is the "organized" part of my trip. Gotta keep the energy up, ya know?)
  • 10:00 AM: Taxi to Paradise Beach. OMG. Paradise. Literally. I'm not sure I’ve ever seen water this ridiculously blue. This is the part where I promised myself I'd actually swim.
  • 10:30 AM: Snorkeled (badly). Realized I’m a terrible snorkeler, swallow way too much seawater, and mostly just flail around looking clumsy. The fish, however, were adorable.
  • 12:00 PM: Wandered around Paradise beach. Got invited to a beach party. Told myself I’m too old for this (I'm probably not).
  • 1:00 PM: Lunch at a beachside taverna. Gyros, Greek salad, the works. (Note: I am pretty sure I will consume my body weight in feta before I leave).
  • 2:00 PM: Beach party time… or, more accurately, a confused observer of the chaos. (I blame the midday sun and my inability to dance.) I was probably smiling, as I knew someone was having a great party.
  • 4:00 PM: Left Paradise Beach. Head to a more "chill" beach: Platis Gialos. It was calmer, quieter, and gave me time to think.
  • 6:00 PM: Back to the Mykonos Princess Hotel. Shower, change.
  • 7:00 PM: Went to Mykonos Windmills. The views were incredible. The windmills themselves almost knocked me over with their beauty.
  • 8:00 PM: Went to a restaurant. The food was… fine. The view, however, was spectacular.
  • 9:00 PM: Found a cute little bar. Enjoyed an evening cocktail and talked to locals.
  • 11:00 PM: Back to the hotel. Ready to go again!

Day 3: Island Hopping and Holy (Oops!)

  • 9:30 AM: Sleep in! (Needed after yesterday's… adventures). Maybe it was the sun, maybe it was the wine, maybe it was the sheer joy of being here!
  • 11:00 AM: Breakfast, a swim in the pool.
  • 12:00 PM: Took a boat trip to another island. (Don't ask me which. I honestly forgot.)
  • 1:00 PM: Lunch at a taverna right on the beach. Again with the fresh seafood! Grilled sardines. (It was so good. I almost forgot what I was doing).
  • 3:00 PM: Explored some little shops
  • 4:00 PM: Relaxed on the beach.
  • 6:00 PM: Boat back to Mykonos.
  • 7:00 PM: Started getting ready to go out.
  • 8:00 PM: Went to a restaurant in Mykonos. It was fine.
  • 9:00 PM: A local told me to go to a bar. I went. I had fun. I met someone. He was kind of strange.
  • 11:00 PM: Got back.

Day 4: Sunsets, Shopping, and Saying "Adios"

  • 9:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel. Said goodbye to the staff. (I may have teared up a little. They were so lovely!).
  • 10:00 AM: Last swim in the pool. This time, I made myself get in!
  • 12:00 PM: Final exploration of Mykonos Town (This time, with a mission: souvenir shopping!). Bought way too many things (mostly blue and white striped things, obviously).
  • 2:00 PM: One last lunch in a quiet taverna.
  • 3:00 PM: Went back to the hotel.
  • 4:00PM: Packed. (And by “packed,” I mean shoved everything haphazardly into my suitcase).
  • 5:00 PM: Head to the airport.
  • 6:00 PM: My plane.

Final Thoughts (and Ramblings):

Mykonos, you absolute goddess! You were hot, chaotic, beautiful, and messy, and I loved every single, glorious second! I didn't stick to my "plan," I probably embarrassed myself on numerous occasions, and I'm pretty sure I gained five pounds from all the feta. But… I had an unforgettable time. I met some incredible people, saw some breathtaking sights, and made memories that will last a lifetime.

This wasn’t a perfect trip. There were moments of confusion, moments of embarrassment, and moments where I just wanted to hide under a beach towel. But those imperfections? They made it real. They made it mine.

And you know what? I can't wait to go back. (P.S. Next time, I’m definitely taking a cooking class).

¡Hasta la vista, Baby! (Or, in this case, hasta la vista, Mykonos).

Mykonos Princess Hotel Greece

Si no… ¡a ahorrar!

A veces.
