Mykonos, Blanco Blanco: A Messy, Beautiful Diary
Okay, here we go. Branco Mykonos. This isn't just a trip; it's a vibe. A very expensive, sun-drenched, possibly-going-to-bankrupt-me vibe.
Day 1: Arrival and a (Slightly) Humbling Beach Experience
- 10:00 AM - Athens to Mykonos: After a surprisingly chill Athens flight (I did manage to snag a window seat!), we land in Mykonos. The airport? Tiny. Jet lag already hitting, a mix of excitement and fear about the price tags.
- 11:00 AM - Hotel Check-in (and the Air Conditioning God): Branco Hotel. OMG. The pictures didn't lie. White, sleek, minimalist…and thankfully, the A/C is a beast. Saved my life instantly.
- 12:00 PM - Beach Club Orientation (and the First Cocktail): Walk to the Beach Club. We're talking Paradise. I'm talking, like, actual paradise. But then the waiter hands me a menu, and my jaw almost dislocates. A simple cocktail is…well, let's just say it's more than my monthly grocery bill. Gulped But, when in Mykonos! So, a Mango Daiquiri is my first sacrifice for the cause. It's good. Very good.
- 1:00 PM - Beach Bliss (and the Sunburn): The sand is golden. The water is crystal clear, and the sun…is evil. Seriously, I applied sunscreen, but apparently, not enough. Feeling the burn already, like a lobster simmering in its own juices. #Fail.

I get to people-watch: everyone is either stunning, in their own little world, or desperately trying to look stunning while navigating this opulent place. A mix of envy, amusement, and slight self-consciousness. I also spill a little olive oil on my pristine white outfit. Classic.
- 4:00 PM - Nap time…and Regret: That daiquiri and the sun's betrayal, plus jet-lag = a very strong nap time. I wake up confused and feeling silly.
- 6:00 PM - Sunset Cocktails (and Deep Thoughts): The sunset here is…I don’t even have the words. A fiery explosion of color over the Aegean Sea. Makes the cocktail price tag actually bearable. It's a truly overwhelming experience and I start wondering if it's even real.
- 8:00 PM - Dinner in Town (and the Crazy Wind): Dinner at a small restaurant, the wind is insane. I feel like a kite. Good food to counter the wind experience.
- 10:00 PM - Stroll Around Mykonos Town (and the Drunken Tourists): Mykonos town is cute, pretty, but a little overwhelming with so many people. I see a lot of drunken tourists.
- 12:00 AM - Pass Out: Collapse in the hotel bed. This is the life!
Day 2: Blanco Beach, Blanco!
- 9:00 AM - Breakfast (and the Reality Check): I try to eat as much as possible because it is included, and I feel like I'm getting ripped off at other meals.
- 10:00 AM - Beach Club Repeat (and the Decision to Embrace the Suck): Back to the beach. Sunscreen applied with the conviction. I'm committed to finding the beauty amidst this ridiculous expenditure.
- 1:00 PM - The Blanco Experience (and the Big Splurge): This is the Blanco experience. Everything is picture-perfect, designed to make you feel like you're living in a glossy magazine page. And it's mostly good. The service is attentive but not always genuine. The music is pumping. I decide to embraced all of it! I get a massage. It's heavenly. My wallet weeps silently.
- 3:00 PM - More Sun, More Drinks (and the Slight Buzz): I start feeling the good, the bad, and the tipsy all mixed into one.
- 5:00 PM - Sunset Photo Shoot (and the Instagram Struggle): Trying to capture the sunset on my phone. It's impossible. The light is too perfect. I'm surrounded by influencers.
- 7:00 PM - Dinner on the Beach (and the Romantic Moment): There's a special dinner on the sand. The food is exceptional. My partner and I have a truly beautiful moment amid the chaos and price tags. I think I'm falling in love with this place.

Final Thoughts:
Mykonos is a paradox. It's ridiculously expensive, often superficial, and can feel overwhelming. But it's also beautiful, hedonistic, and unforgettable. I'm glad I came. I'm broke, slightly sunburned, but full of stories. And I'm already plotting my return. Maybe. Possibly. After I win the lottery. Amo Mykonos, but I am going to save money the following year.
